Recruitment Plan/Outreach PSS Recruitments


Department Responsibilities:
  • Review Affirmative Action (AA) goals.


  • Contacts Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter as early as possible to discuss AA goals and type of recruitment/outreach activity required for a qualified diverse applicant pool.


  • Develops selection criteria following college/unit protocol if required.


  • Submits VL requisition in Job Machine.


Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Contacts department to discuss AA goals recruitment/outreach strategy and sets FFD to allow for focused activity.


  • Completes recruitment plan in Job Machine to indicate type of activity required.


  • Document reasons for non-focused activity for AA by recording comments in Job Machine.


  • Develops special mailing lists, postings at specialized Internet sites, publications, etc. to enhance diverse qualified applicant pool.


  • Routes special request to Outreach Coordinator for targeted/focused activity.


Outreach Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Works with Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter to identify specific recruitment outreach source.


  • Works with department upon request to discuss special outreach efforts and the benefit of outreach
