Recruitment Closeout - MSO


Department Responsibilities:

Following the interview and selection process and discussion with your Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter in Human Resources regarding salary considerations and/or required approval:

  • Provide new hire with a conditional job offer letter for background check.
  • Schedule a background check.
  • Inform candidates interviewed, but not selected, that the position has been filled.
  • Ensure that all original applications received by the department are accounted for.
  • Complete the applicant tracking referral form at the conclusion of the recruitment process.
  • Please note that you must include reasons for non-selection for every applicant -including those who were not invited for an interview. The reasons for non-selection must be directly related to the selection criteria
  • Send the closeout packet to your Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter immediately following your completion of the hire process. The packet must include the original, signed employment application, position description and copy of the conditional offer letter for the person hired along with copy of interview questions, interview/selection matrix if used, and all of the other applications referred to the department for consideration.
  • Enter new hire into PPS upon return of closeout packet to your Employment and Outreach Consultant/Recruiter in HR.
  • Your department shall retain records of the recruitment for 3 years
