Early Dismissal Day

City recreaation staffers organize an afternoon of arts and crafts, special events, games, snacks and more each Wednesday from 1:45 to 5:30 p.m. for children in first through sixth grades. The group meets at the Community Pool Building in Community Park.  The program rus every Wednesday through May 21. Children may come as often as every week or as infrequently as once a month. Campus Recreation

UC Davis Campus Recreation encompasses a variety of facilities, including the Craft Center, Outdoor Adventures, Recreation Pool, Games Area, and the Equestrian Center. During the academic year, most of these programs are geared toward college students and teens. During the summer months, Campus Recreation broadens its scope to include youth-oriented programs as well.

The City of Davis offers a variety of recreation and special interest programs for all ages of children, including swimming, tennis, gymnastics, dance, drama, martial arts, and more. Recreation class schedules are now available. City of Davis Parks & Community Services offers a fee subsidy program granting 50% subsidy of class fees, allowing low income families to participate in the classes and programs.
