You can fill their entire summer with programs that are so much fun they won't realize they are learning valuable skills! Camps vary in age requirements and price.

Camp Pure Fun
Camp Pure Fun, operated through Davis' Child Development Centers, offers summer programs for kindergarten through sixth grade children, including arts, crafts, movies, and field trips. Camp Pure Fun operates from 7am-6pm, and serves breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Junior Tennis Camp

This weekly full-day camp caters to children 5-16 years, Monday-Friday. Afternoon activities such as swimming and snacks may be an option. All levels are welcome to participate in this USPTA instructional program. Student-to-instructor ratio is no more than 6 to 1, and clinics include ground strokes, serves, volleys, stretching, conditioning, games, and prizes.

The Davis Waldorf School is one of more than 700 schools worldwide that integrates the arts into the basic subjects. The school follows the slogan of "schooling the head, hands & heart." The Waldorf approach allows children to learn through their senses, their imaginations, their emotions and their intellects. The Sunflower Summer Camp program is a nonacademic vacation program offered for children between 4½ and 12 years. Classes may be taken individually or combined for a full day program. The program has two three-week sessions, from mid-June through July.

The Campus Recreation Summer Youth Program, administered by MU Programs & Campus Recreation, provides a number of partial & full day camps. PM Potpourri is offered as an option to create full day programs in conjunction with any of the individual enrichment programs. At 2:30pm, Potpourri staff will escort your camper from their morning program to the Potpourri meeting location at the Rec Pool. Each eventful afternoon will end at 5:30 pm at the Rec Pool, where happy, but probably exhausted campers are to be picked up.

The Young Artist

The Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop will be offering The Young Artist week-long workshops for children 6-14 years old. Activities include dance, art, creative writing, theatre & improvisation games, snacks, and story time.

The City of Davis Parks & Community Services offers a wide variety of partial day activities in addition to the summer specialty camps. Many of these additional programs are offered throughout the year, and include classes in drama, music, dance, and a variety of other enriching experiences.

Partners in Learning offers a variety of one-, two- and three-week classes. Classes last between 1½ and 2 hours, and are offered for children between 4-years and high school age.

Offered through the Stonegate Country Club, membership is not required for participation in the Duque Tennis Academy. Summer morning camp [9am-noon, Monday-Friday for children 6-16 years is offered weekly; three-week sessions of USA Tennis 1-2-3 are offered for children 5-15 years.

SummerDarts Swimming

The Davis AquaDarts offers two summer recreational swimming program for local children. SummerDarts is a 9 week program, which offer swimmers an opportunity to participate on a summer recreational swim team. The summer workouts emphasize the introduction and improvement of stroke skills, water fitness and basic rules of competition in a fun, flexible, program. Practices are held Monday through Friday.

UC Davis Sport Camps

UC Davis offers a variety of summer sport camps under the direction of UC Davis coaches with assistance from college team members. Camp dates, times, and fees vary with some partial day offerings as well as residential camps with kids staying in campus residence halls.
