Work and Family Month
Throughout October, UC Davis will observe National Work and Family Month. National Work and Family Month is the result of U.S. Senate Resolution 210 passed in September 2003 to build awareness about the importance of work-life effectiveness. It states that the ability to effectively manage work, family, and personal responsibilities contributes to the well being and productivity of the American worker and their workplaces.
Work Life integration encompasses child care, elder care, breastfeeding support, health and wellness, professional development, employee assistance, and flexible work arrangements. UC Davis supports Resolution 210 in fostering flexible, supportive work environments through Work Life, a collaboration of programs, resources, policies and practices to support our diverse campus by integrating self, work, life's important others and community.
