2008 Contribution Limits for 403(b) and 457(b) and OASDI Wage Base Set
The 2008 Contribution Limits for the 403(b) and 457(b) Plans will remain the same as in 2007:
$15,500 - Employees under age 50 in 2008;
$20,500 - Employees age 50 or older by December 31, 2008
The 2008 Social Security wage base will be $102,000.


UC investments show strong gains, re-start of pension contributions postponed
UC officials confirm that pension contributions, which have not been required of employees for 17 years but were originally slated to resume, have been postponed for at least the rest of the 2007-08 fiscal year.

Tax Rules Issued for Health Plan Coverage for Non-Tax Dependent Children
IRS rules require employers to report as taxable income ("imputed income") the employer contributions for health plan coverage for dependents who do not qualify under IRS requirements (IRC ยง152) as tax dependents.

Complete the form UPAY850 to notify the University if you have natural or adopted children who do not qualify as tax dependents under IRS rules enrolled in your UC health plan.
