Extension of Supplement to Military Pay

University supplement to military pay for employees called to active duty during the Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle Campaigns.

Under current University policy, University employees who volunteer or are called to active military duty during Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Noble Eagle (the anti-terrorism and homeland defense campaigns) receive a supplement to their military pay that consists of the difference between the employee's University pay and military pay. This supplement is provided for a period of up to 180 calendar days, or until the predetermined separation date of an employee's University appointment, whichever comes first.

The University is now proposing to extend the time period for its employees from 180 calendar days to 365 calendar days.

A complete description of the Supplement to Military Pay is available on the web at http://hr.ucdavis.edu/policiesandcontracts/Devel/Military.

Employees are invited to comment on the proposed extension to 365 days. Please send comments to tadelamora@ucdavis.edu by Tuesday, April 16, 2002.
