PPS Introductory Lab
This hands-on lab course combines lecture, discussion and exercises to introduce the Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) to PPS Preparers and Reviewers. Class participants will acquire knowledge of how to access PPS, responsibilities of system users, and how to navigate the system. This course is required for new PPS Preparers and Reviewers whose responsibilities include online PPS entry of personnel transactions and is part of core PPS training. It is intended to be an introduction to the payroll system and is required before taking "PPS: Lab."
Participants are required to submit a departmental signed copy of their PPS Access/Change Application to the PPS Administrator in Accounting and Financial Services, Payroll Division prior to the day of the class in order to attend. Only employees who will be responsible for PPS/OPTRS administrative functions/transactions will be permitted to attend due to the confidential information accessed in the course.
