PPS Payroll Policy & Introduction
This lecture reviews relevant payroll policies and procedures and basic payroll time reporting processes, including the how, when, and why of completing payroll time reporting worksheets and payroll reporting adjustment worksheets. Basic payroll policies, forms, time reporting processes, basic payroll terminology, calendars, input schedules and the roles and responsibilities of preparers and reviewers will be included. This course also includes an introduction and overview of basic PPS inquiry screens and their usage. This course is required for all PPS Preparers and Reviewers whose responsibilities include on-line PPS entry of personnel transactions and as part of core PPS training. This course is intended to be an introduction to the payroll system and is required before taking the OPTRS course.
