Leaving people better than she found them is in Gayle’s DNA, professionally, in her family, and in her community. Gayle Guest-Brown’s mission is to affirm and support leaders in accessing their strengths, connecting to core values, and reaching their best strategies and solutions through one-on-one confidential and customized transformational coaching.

Gayle is an accomplished Equity Leadership Strategist, Executive Leadership Coach, and leadership development professional. She brings decades of successful leadership experience across five sectors of business: corporate, technology, non-profit, ministry, and entrepreneurship to work on behalf of her clients. An influencer and connector of people with extensive communication, leadership skills, financial and project management acumen, she’s worked in and with global Fortune 100 companies, state, and local agencies, as well as small startups.

Since coming to UC (University of California) Davis, she has co-created three highly regarded Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Leadership Curriculums to prepare leaders for a changing world: 1) Race Matters  2) Creating Inclusion and Safe Spaces, and 3) Becoming an Inclusive Leader-Six Key Traits With strong values for justice and equity, she is working in her sweet spot when doing this work.

Gayle’s professional education includes the following degrees, certifications, and credentials:

  • Certified Professional Coach (CPC)
  • ICF (International Coach Federation) credentialed, Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
  • MBA - concentration in Finance and Marketing from the esteemed UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM)
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Certification through Cornell University
  • Project Management Professional credential (PMP), October 2009- 2018 including teaching PMP prep courses

As the owner of Guest-Brown Impact, Gayle provides leadership development training and coaching for private sector, non-profits, faith, and community organizations. In 2023, she was honored with the Champions of Diversity Award and in 2019 she received the Women Who Mean Business Award both by the Sacramento Business Journal.

She is the author of Girl Get it Right-an I.M.P.A.C.T guide to creating the life and work you dream of. Gayle is the creator of "Brand Your Brilliance and Negotiate" and  "Command Your Worth at Work", both service offers designed for women of color to overcome inequities in the workplace.

Professional and Community Affiliations: Currently, Gayle serves on the Board of directors of the CA Partnership to End Domestic Violence. She is an active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) – Sacramento. She also serves the community as a Safe Black Space and Emotional Emancipation Circle Facilitator working to heal the impacts of racial trauma. Gayle was honored by the Sac Cultural Hub, receiving its Exceptional Women of Color Award.
