UC Davis Health (excluding the Schools of Medicine and Nursing) is improving how it tracks staff positions to provide an accurate, up-to-date view of how many people it employs, which vacant positions are in active recruitment and how many approved positions are expected to be filled.

Beginning January 2027, UC Davis will use the same systemwide UC Blue & Gold premiums as all other UC locations.

Beginning Oct. 10, Job Builder will automatically make position updates weekly when there are changes to department assignments, reports to and/or FTE. The enhancement initially applies only to UC Davis Health (excluding SOM and SON).

UC Davis Health is implementing enhancements to the Personnel File Review and Employment Misconduct Review processes to support consistent hiring practices and ensure compliance with updated University of California policy.

 

The Employee Experience Survey helps teams across UC Davis and UC Davis Health understand what employees value about their workplace and where there are opportunities to make it better.

For Environmental Health and Safety, the results highlighted both. Employees reported a strong sense of trust and connection among colleagues, while also identifying stress and workload as an area of concern. The team used those findings to identify concrete ways to strengthen how they work together.

Health Net, the health insurance company that administers the UC Blue & Gold HMO plan, recently announced it will end service in California after the 2027 calendar year.
