Honoring 25 Years of Service: UC Davis and UC Davis Health Celebrate Milestone with Chancellor
On Wednesday, October 22, the university proudly honored nearly 400 faculty and staff members from both UC Davis and UC Davis Health for reaching a milestone of 25 years of dedicated service.
The UC Davis Alumni Center was transformed into a vibrant Hawaiian oasis to celebrate these individuals and their contributions to the university's mission of teaching, research, patient care and public service.
This festive occasion marked their official induction into the Quarter Century Club (QCC). This UC Davis tradition has, for over 80 years, recognized the loyalty, excellence and enduring contributions of those who have helped shape the university into the world-class institution it is today.
From clinicians and researchers to educators, facilities professionals and administrative leaders, this year’s honorees represented the extraordinary breadth of talent and commitment that propels UC Davis forward. Their collective legacy is one of innovation, compassion, and service that remain the true signatures of a university committed to its mission.
The Hawaiian theme brought a joyful, relaxed ambiance to the evening, with tropical décor and island-inspired refreshments setting the stage for a lively mixer-style reception. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, drinks and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends. The event also welcomed a strong showing of leadership from both UC Davis and UC Davis Health, including Mike Condrin, Kimberly Bleichner-Jones, Christine Williams, Jennifer Doll, Dr. Bruce Hall, and Binnie Singh, who mingled with honorees in a spirit of gratitude and camaraderie.
UC Davis leadership celebrated alongside this year's honorees.
Chancellor Gary S. May and Vice Chancellor Clare Shinnerl offered heartfelt remarks, celebrating the honorees’ enduring impact and their pivotal role in shaping the university’s culture and success. "For 25 years, you have poured your energy and ideas into making UC Davis an even better place to work, learn and receive care. I’m grateful for your service and proud of your contributions to our campuses, our community and the lives of those we serve," said Chancellor May.
This celebration was brought to you by the Human Resources Well-being and Recognition team and made possible through the generous support of the UC Davis Retirees Association, Fidelity, and University Credit Union, whose partnership ensured that this milestone was honored with the recognition it deserved.
