UC Davis has launched the Mandatory Employee Training Compliance Program, requiring all Davis campus staff, academic and student employees to complete assigned training modules in the UC Learning Center by their individual deadlines.

Cybersecurity Training Compliance
Beginning July 1, 2026, UC Davis will enforce completion of the UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals training course for Davis campus employees.
Any employees who have not completed this training by their individual deadline will lose access to certain core campus digital services until training is completed.
Services that will be restricted include:
- UC Davis Google Workspace
- UC Davis Box
- MyInfoVault
- Aggie Enterprise
- myucdavis
- and many other services
Services not restricted:
- UC Learning Center
- Time Reporting System (TRS)
- Microsoft 365 (including Outlook and Teams)
- Zoom
- UCPath
- Service Hub (ServiceNow)
- Aggie Bill and AggieService
- UC Davis Canvas
- Student Health and Counseling Services
- Campus Clinical Applications
Your Individual Training Deadline
Your deadline to complete a mandatory training is based on the date you last completed the training module — not a single campus-wide date.
To find your specific deadline:
- Log in to the UC Learning Center
- Navigate to the Required Training section
- Review due dates and completion status
You will receive email reminders at 30, 14, 7, 2, and 1 day(s) before your deadline. Login-screen pop-up warnings will appear beginning 14 days before your deadline.
Training Extensions
Employees should make every effort to complete the 35-minute training before requesting an extension. Staff with exceptional circumstances may request a one-time seven-day extension through their departmental human resources contact.
Extensions will temporarily preserve the employee's access to digital services.

FAQs
- What happens if I miss my deadline and do not have an approved extension?
- Employees who do not complete the required training by their assigned deadline will temporarily lose access to certain campus digital services. When attempting to access a restricted service, employees will be directed to the UC Learning Center to complete the required training. Access will be restored automatically shortly after training is completed.
- I completed my training, but my access is still restricted. What should I do?
- First, confirm that the training shows as completed in the UC Learning Center by reviewing your Training Transcript. If you are experiencing course completion issues, please review the eCourse Tips Job Aid for trouble-shooting strategies. If your transcript does correctly display the course completion and your access has not been restored after a short period of time, contact your departmental human resources contact for assistance.
- What happens if my deadline occurs during a leave of absence?
- Training assignments may be paused while an employee is on an approved leave or short work break status in UCPath. Employees who return to work with overdue training assignments will need to complete the required training promptly. Employees with questions about their specific situation should contact their departmental human resources contact.
- I am a manager or supervisor and my team information is incorrect in the UC Learning Center.
- Managers and supervisors should review the Manager Dashboard in the UC Learning Center and verify that direct reports are accurate and training is being completed on time. For supervisor and manager resources, see Using the UC Learning Center.
Questions related to employment status, reporting relationships, leave status, or separation records should be directed to your departmental human resources contact. - I am no longer a student employee. Why is my access restricted?
- In some cases, employment or appointment records in UCPath may not yet reflect a recent separation or status change. Contact your departmental human resources contact for assistance reviewing your employment status.
- What if I need accommodation for a disability?
- Employees requiring accommodations to complete mandatory training should contact their departmental human resources contact or Disability Management Services at [email protected].
Expanding Compliance
While this compliance effort currently applies only to the UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals training for employees on the Davis campus, it will expand to include additional required training courses and other employee populations.
