PCP Selection Issue During Open Enrollment
Important Update:
Some employees may experience an issue in the Open Enrollment system when trying to re-select a UC Davis Health Primary Care Physician (PCP). If your preferred PCP is temporarily closed to new patients, the system will require you to choose a different doctor before you can continue.
What You Need to Know:
- A system fix is in progress.
- Until the update is complete:
- Select another provider within the same clinic or office location to finish your enrollment.
- Report the issue by calling the Patient Contact Center at 1-800-482-3284.
- Employees do not need to re-select their medical plan if they are not making a change.
- If selecting the UC Blue & Gold HMO, you can keep your current PCP by entering their Enrollment ID (under Show Details in the provider search tool) and checking the existing-patient box in the Open Enrollment portal.
After Open Enrollment Ends:
The Patient Contact Center can help restore affected employees to their original PCPs.
Deadline:
You can make open enrollment changes until tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m., so there is still time to complete your selections even if you encounter this issue.
